President

Dr. Susan C. Wajert

Mercy College of Ohio, a Catholic institution with a focus on healthcare, educates and inspires students to lead and to serve in the global community. It integrates general and professional studies as the basis for healthcare and health science related programs, continuing professional education programs, and community services. Excellence in teaching and learning experience is rooted in the correlation of theory and practice to ensure successful careers in wellness.

Mercy College of Ohio was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1917 as the Mercy School of Nursing. All of its academic programs remain in the health sciences field. Now sponsored by Mercy Health, it continues the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Sisters of Charity of Montréal (Grey Nuns), and the Sisters of Humility of Mary with attention to compassion, human dignity, justice, service, and the sacredness of life.
